Work On the Entry Structures

As some of you may have already noticed , work has begun today on the entry areas both at the Gate House and on the Livingston Rd. entry.

This is part of the Maintenance and Improvements approved by the previous board at the end of last year. The cleaning and removal of damaged portions of structures has begun today. This will be followed by the replacement of several of the current Styrofoam wall caps with much more durable concrete elements. When completed there will be no design changes, so the entries will appear the same only freshly textured and painted. The cornices around the Gate House and entry structure will be removed and replaced with concrete coated, molded duplicate pieces which are designed to eliminate the damages caused by nesting birds burrowing into the Styrofoam in the past.

Overall the entries will have a much needed face lift and the unseen improvements will reduce or eliminate much of the unsightly damage and associated maintenance expenses. Please pardon any short term inconveniences and the dirt and dust associated with the construction process.
