*** Update on a Few Items ***

Good Evening Everyone,

I wanted to take a minute to let you know the Oak Tree removal project is still ongoing. The Board is working with the County for approval of a plan which will be submitted this week. As most of you are aware it has taken much to get the concept approved and now it is just working out the details and getting the actual plan approved and scheduled. We are aware that many of the trees are in need of trimming but to pay for the trimming of trees so close to removal does not seem a good use of funds.

 

The Company which performs our pressure cleaning for the Association will be out this Thursday and Friday Mar., 8th and 9th to treat the walls for stain removal. They will be covering the entire Community from Single Family Homes to Condo exteriors and the Clubhouse. There is no action required on your part, I just wanted to let everyone know in case you see someone spraying your Home.

 

We will be adding some additional white lines to the pavement around the Gate House area over the next few days. You may have noticed the new Blue cones already. There will be lane designators ( reflective poles ) as well. The “exit” lane beside the Gate house is designated for those getting Bar Code stickers on their vehicles. This lane was closed to through traffice due to the reckless manner in which people were passing by the Gate house door. All of this is part of the ongoing attempt make the roads and intersections as safe as possible. The Association can only do so much to prevent accidents, and the residents will have to make an effort to use these reminders to slow down and pay attention to the roads and crosswalks. All the markers and signs in the world will not prevent a tragedy if you ignore them.

Although it did put a neighbor in the Hospital and require surgery which I’m sure will have  long lasting effects, We were very lucky in the recent incident that your fellow resident was not injured much more severely or worse. The people involved were your neighbors, not villains and by all accounts just going about their everyday activities but some slight inattention at the wrong moment combined with the bad habits I see every day at every intersection in this Community is all it took to put someone in the Hospital.

Some of you have asked about the status of the Pool area canvas replacements. I recently confirmed that we are on the schedule for May to have all the canopies and curtains replaced as well as the shades over the Tot-Lot. We scheduled this last Oct. but the Irma affect goes on.
