Sorry, but the post that went out late yesterday was sent blank for some reason so I am going to try it again 🙂 First of all, thank you goes out to all the attendees of the Hot Havana Nights party last Saturday. We had a smaller but FUN group of folks and it was nice to see everyone having such a good time and welcoming some of our new residents who joined us! Our next big monthly event is Friday, November 11th when we present DIVAS THROUGH THE DECADES. This is a fun costume and interactive musical show and is open to all adults and children. I will send more information on that event shortly. You can find it our event calendar!
This upcoming Monday, October 17th at 6:00PM the Collier County Sheriff’s Office will presenting their RUN, HIDE, FIGHT! program in the basketball room. Sergeant Neal Bohannon of CCSO will be going over vital and life saving information. Come and learn how to protect yourself in an active shooting or hostile situation. There is no charge to attend but we do have limited seating so you must RSVP in advance if you plan to attend. We have invited residents from a neighboring community to join us so we will have a FULL HOUSE. CLICK HERE to sign up to attend.

Friday, October 21st Halloween Cocktail Party and Live Music with Michael Pick from 5:30-7:30PM Stop by and meet your neighbors at the monthly Cocktail Night social! Bring an appetizer or dessert to share. BYOB, soft drinks will be provided. Entry is FREE. RSVP by Wednesday, October 19th. Live music from Michael Pick. This is a Halloween themed event so feel free to come in costume!
Monday, October 24th BINGO from 6:00PM-7:30PM With season in full swing, it is very important that you RSVP if you plan to attend BINGO each month so we can make sure the table is set for the correct amount of people. It is not fair to the people who do RSVP when we have to delay the start of the game to reconfigure the table to accommodate those who do not RSVP in advance. Good news is with more people here and playing, the jackpots will be BIGGER! Cost is $1 per game.

Thursday, October 27th BIG FAT GREEK THURSDAY from 5:30PM-7:30PM Join us for our second BIG FAT GREEK THURSDAY PARTY in the Social Room. This year you will be able to order you custom PITA in advance exactly the way you like it. You will have your choice of the following PITAS: Gyro Pita; Steak & Cheese Pita; Chicken Pita; Chicken, Hummus and Feta Peta; Shrimp Pita; Vegetable Pita/Hummus & Feta Peta; or Falafel Pita (Vegetarian/Vegan Options). If you click on the event flier link above you can see the descriptions of each PITA. You will also have a choice of a Greek Side salad or a Cup of Soup (Lentil or Greek Chicken Soup) as a side dish along with some spanakopita. You can finish your meal with an authentic Greek dessert. Each ticket will also include one GLASS OF WINE. Water and soda will also be provided. Don’t delay and RSVP today! Last day to register is Tuesday, October 25th. If I can get 15 more people to sign up I will add a DJ so you can dance as well!!
Monday, October 31st Kids Pre-Halloween Pizza Party from 4:30-5:30PM Come to the Clubhouse to enjoy pizza, dessert and soft drinks before trick-or-treating! Parents are welcome to share in the pizza as well. Cost is $4 Per Person if paid by check or ($5 Per Person if you pay with PAYPAL), and an RSVP is required by Thursday, October 27th. No walk-ins will be permitted the day of the event. We will be getting “real” pizza from Naples Pizza Marbella Lakes Halloween Trick-or-Treating will begin after the pizza party at 5:30pm. Please be mindful of driving throughout the community during this time while children are enjoying the holiday. If you are going to participate, please have your exterior lights on so the little ones know where to go to do their trick-or-treating.

Lastly, please be aware that we currently have a LOST AND FOUND Box outside the office door. If you have ever lost something here at the clubhouse//pool be sure to check the box before Friday because after that time we will be donating the items that are not claimed. I will say there is nothing recent in this bin (nothing from the last three months) and there are no clubhouse access cards in there either! LOL!
