Tuesday, February 9th FAT TUESDAY BASH from 5:30-7:30PM Join us for Cajun Food from The Sizzle Truck, Live Entertainment and frozen drinks! Cost is $15 per person. There will be lots of beads, feathers and masks! Celebrate Mardi Gras right here in the clubhouse!
Saturday, February 13th at 6PM Neighbors Night Out at ROW Seafood & Off the Hook Comedy Club featuring comedy show by Dave Coulier As of today, there are still tickets available to this show. You an buy them online at www.offthehookcomedy.com. Make sure you select the February 13th show with Dave Coulier at 7PM. You can pay with your credit card online. Then let me know if you bought tickets and I will ask that you are seated with the Marbella Lakes group. We have a large group of almost 60 people going. I have already purchased all the other group tickets. If you bought tickets before through me, you will just give your name at the door. They will seat us for dinner at 6PM and the comedy show starts at 7PM.
Monday, February 15th from 10AM-12PM Kids Sugar Sweet Valentine Kids Activity in the Social Room Join our pastry chefs from last month again as they teach the kiddos how to decorate cookies. They will also learn how to make cookie dough and royal icing. Each child will leave with decorated cookies, a batch of freshly prepared cookie dough they can bake at home and a recipe. Cost to attend is $13 per child payable in CASH. We must have (15) children signed up and paid for by this Wednesday, February 10th at 12PM or we will have to cancel his class.
Thursday, February 18th Incredible Edibles Workshop from 10:00-11:30AM A signature “show and tell” class demonstrating how to create Edible Vegetable and Fruit Centerpieces, Melon Carousels, Squash Terrine, Tomato Roses and Zucchini and Watermelon Boats. Instructed by Charlotte Ann Albertson of Albertson Cooking School of Philadelphia (http://www.albertsoncookingschool.com/). Each attendee receives a complimentary miniature bottle of premium Polish Vodka and cookbooks will be raffled. The class will last approx. 2 Hours and is called “Please Eat The Daisies”. Cost to attend is $8 per person. All proceeds the instructor makes after expenses are donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
Saturday, February 20th from 6:30PM-10:00PM, Viva Las Vegas Night Join us for our 2nd Annual Viva Las Vegas Casino Night! This year we are omitting the dinner buffet so we can make the casino twice as BIG and give out twice as many prizes. Cost to attend is $25 per person and includes Texas Hold-em Poker, Craps, Roulette, Black Jack, Slot Machines & $5,000 in Playing Chips. Price includes Snacks/Party Trays/Pizza, Beer/Wine, Water and Soda. All gaming tables will have professional dealers. You will be playing for raffle prizes and gift certificates! RSVP no later then Monday, February 15th! You must be (21) years of age or older to participate in this event. We already have (85) people signed up for this so don’t miss out and RSVP today!
Saturday, March 5th Key West Express Community Day Trip from Marco Island to Key West
Join your fellow Marbella Lakes residents and guests onboard the KEY WEST EXPRESS as we set sail from the Rose Marina on Marco Island to Key West. Traveling onboard their jet-powered vessel we will cruise through the open waters of The Gulf of Mexico at 40MPH. The vessel offers Outdoor Sun Deck, Indoor Climate Controlled Cabin, Large Flat-Screen Tv’s, Full Cash Galley and Bar, All Aluminum Construction, All Turbo Diesel Engines with Jet Propulsion and State-of-the-Art ride Control, Electronics and Navigation Equipment. We will need to board as a group at 7:30AM at the marina on Marco Island and the boat will depart for Key West at 8:30AM. We will arrive in Key West at approx. 11:30AM and the boat will leave Key West at 5:00PM so you will have about 5 hours on the island. The boat will return to Marco Island between 8-8:30PM. We must have a minimum of (15) people interested in this trip to get the special group rate of $100 per person roundtrip (normal rate is $154 per person). You are allowed to invite guests from outside the community. Children 6-12 are $91 roundtrip and 5 and under are $60 roundtrip. You can spend the night and return the next day on the boat or any other day of your choice at no additional charge as long as you arrange that option in advance. Reservations are due by Friday, February 19th! Once you experience the ease and fun of sailing to Key West-you will never drive again!
Also, just a reminder that we are trying to get our bridge group up and running. We will now be having BRIDGE on Tuesdays at 1PM. We need at least four people to play so w hope you can join us tomorrow.
