Please be advised that due to recent damage to the Fire Alarm System in the Marbella Lakes Condominiums it will be necessary to report ANY Fire Emergencies directly to 911.

During a recent inspection it was noted that the “reporting system” has an error and cannot be relied upon to automatically report an alarm condition directly to the Fire Services. The Alarm system itself is reported to be in operating condition and the audible alarms will sound in the event of an activation. The fire suppression systems are not affected by this fault. It is only the remote reporting system which notifies the Fire Dept. which is need of servicing. Naples Fire Protection has been authorized to make needed inspections and repairs to correct the issue, however, in the meantime any Activation of the Fire Alarm system should be reported directly to the 911 operator.

The North Collier County Fire Department has been advised of the situation and I will be coordinating the progress of corrections to the system.

At this time I would like to also advise all homeowners who have not removed their Hurricane shutters that they are in violation of the Association Rules and Regulations. These shutters may become an obstacle to egress of the unit in the event of an emergency and may also impede Fire Fighting efforts in the event of a fire.

As of today there are currently 13 units in violation and individual Violation letters will be forthcoming if corrections are not made by week’s end. If you are unable to open or remove your shutters, the Association’s Maintenance Company is available at owner’s expense to remove the shutters for you. Weisbecker Holdings at (239) 331 0200 will provide a quote and schedule for removal. Please contact my office and advise me if you have scheduled removal of your shutters.

Once again..  In the event of a fire, activate the nearest Alarm pull station next to the garage doors this will activate the alarm system, then immediately Report any Emergencies directly to 911.

I will provide an update when the reporting system has been corrected.
