I hope you all are having a great week. A great big THANK YOU goes out to those of you who attended our Trivia Night last Friday Night. I hope you had a FUN NIGHT. Next season, we are going to go with the Family Feud game so that it is more interactive and we can actually use the podiums. Little Pete’s Food Truck sold out of their sandwiches so thank you to those residents who came up to get food from them. Hopefully, we can have them back again soon!

BYOB, soft drinks will be provided. Entry is FREE. RSVP by Wednesday, March 16th. Live music from Joe Marino. Please remember, this is a BYOB event. If you do not bring your own wine, please do not drink others. As always, soda and water is supplied courtesy of your HOA.

Saturday, March 26th Easter Egg Hunt and Family Fun Day We are sprucing up our annual Easter Egg Hunt this year by adding (2) Inflatables to the FUN. We will have an 18′ Screamer Dry Slide and a 30′ Obstacle Course set up for kids of all ages to enjoy. The Egg Hunt will begin at 9:30AM and is for children 10 and under only. Your child will need to bring their own basket. There will be treats in every egg and a few eggs will have a GOLDEN TICKET which can be redeemed for a bigger prize! After the hunt, there will be a light breakfast served in the Social Room. The inflatables will be available for all the neighborhood kids to enjoy until 12:00PM. There is no cost for residents to attend this event; however, guests will be charged $5.00 per person. Please RSVP no later then this MONDAY. I have to make sure I have enough kids to warrant the expense of (2) inflatables so do not delay and RSVP your family today! Also, please do NOT forget to make note in the Special Request Box the age of each child you are bringing so I can break them into the proper groups for the egg hunt!
Monday, March 28th BINGO from 6:30PM-8:00PM It is very important that if you plan to attend this game night that you RSVP in advance so we can be set up with the correct number of tables and chairs for those who wish to play.
Saturday, April 2nd. Polynesian Luau End of Season Event-KID FRIENDLY EVENT Our BIG end-of-the season party will fall a little earlier then normal this year so we can catch Tuika’s Polynesian Island Magic before they return to Pennsylvania for the summer. This will be a full, authentic, Polynesian Luau complete with professional Hula Dancers, Live Musicians and a Fire Dancer. This family-friendly event will start with Lei Greetings for all guests. You can take pictures with our Hula Dancers upon arrival. Enjoy a delicious themed menu of tropical delicacies featuring: roasted pork tenderloin via Chef’s Carving station with Polynesian BBQ and Horseradish; Fire grilled chicken breast; Polynesian Fried Rice; Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes; Tropical Grilled Vegetables; Coco Loco Salad; Hawaiian Rolls with Pineapple Honey Butter and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. (We will have a special kid-friendly meal for the children). Dinner will be followed by the BIG SHOW, filled with beautiful costumes and authentic songs and dances of the islands. There will be plenty of audience participation so grab your grass skirt and “Hula” on over to the clubhouse in April as we celebrate another season coming to close. Cost to attend is $30 for adults and $15 for children.
Thursday, April 21st Sunset Paella Pool Party from 6PM-8PM I am still working on confirming the details for this event so more information will follow shortly.
Thursday, May 5th Cinco De Mayo Party from 6PM-8PM Let’s Celebrate Cinco De Mayo the Marbella Lakes way! Join us on Thursday, May 5th from 6:00-8:00pm as we enjoy all things Mexican! Chipotle Mexican Grill will provide the food for our fiesta. You will be able to create your own taco or bowl. Each guest will have a choice of (2) hard or soft shell tacos or (1) bowl. We will have steak, chicken and beans as fillers. All the toppings will be served on the side so you customize them the way you want. (cheese, guacamole, lettuce, all four salsas and sour cream). You will have a choice of white or brown cilantro-lime rice and black or pinto beans. There will be plenty of chips and salsa! Each guest will be guaranteed at least (1) Margarita or Corona Beer per person plus soda and water. We can make non-alcoholic margaritas if you prefer! Cost to attend is $15 per person and you must RSVP by Monday, May 2nd. We might even bust out the Mexican Hat dance Please let me know in the special request box on your reservation if you prefer Hard or Soft Tacos and if you want a Margarita or Corona as an adult beverage!
Lastly, we have ordered and received a PICKLEBALL set for use on the indoor basketball court or the outside basketball court. Tom Reilly, one of our residents, has already marked off the outdoor basketball court with the tape to define the courts. You can utilize the outside court whenever it is available as there will be no set times for the outside court. He will be installing the tape lines on the indoor basketball court on Monday morning. We will have set times for playing on the indoor basketball court. Those times will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10AM-1PM beginning on Monday, March 21st. Those are the only times you can play inside as we have to be fair to the other residents who use that room to play basketball daily. The net, paddles and balls are available to be checked out from the office during normal business hours of 9AM-4:30PM. If you check these items out, you will be responsible for returning them in the condition you received them. Again, the startup of this activity will be a constant work in progress so please be patient while we get it up and running. We have to make sure the noise indoors is not too loud or echoing so if you are playing on the inside court please be aware that we need you to be conscience that other people are working and studying in the clubhouse.
