The panelists for this meeting will include:

4 scientists from Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium
(Mote Marine Laboratory is an independent research institution that has studied Florida red tide for decades in cooperation with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission)

  • Dr. Vince Lovko, Staff Scientist and Program Manager for Phytoplankton Ecology
  • Dr. Tracy Fanara, Staff Scientist and Program Manager for Environmental Health
  • Gretchen Lovewell, Program Manager for Mote’s Strandings Investigation Program
  • Dr. Rich Pierce, Senior Scientist and Program Manager for Ecotoxicology Research 

South Florida Water Management District

  • Jennifer Leeds, Section Administrator, Restoration and Planning Coordination Section, Everglades Policy and Coordination Division
  • Phil Flood, Regional Representative

Florida Gulf Coast University

  • Dr. William Mitsch, Eminent Scholar and Director, Everglades Wetland Research Park
