Don’t Miss our New Years Eve Party December 31st With a Live Band!

Hello Residents,
We are hosting a New Years Eve Party on Saturday, December 31st from 6:00PM-10:00PM with Live Music from the Midnight Sun Band featuring one of our very own residents Joe Tessoun. They will be playing hits from all of the decades in hopes of keeping the dance floor packed all night long! We will have Appetizers, a fantastic buffet catered by Frisco’s Catering with London Broil, Chicken Napoli (with goat cheese, roasted red peppers and spinach), Ziti and Broccoli Ali Olio, Potatoes AuGratin, Seared Asparagus, Classic Tossed Salad, Chef’s Bread Assortment, Dessert and Coffee. Champagne and Party Favors are also included. Also, I can promise many “extras” for those who attend!! You can see the band perform by clicking HERE.

Right now, we have less then (20) people signed up to attend this event. I know many of you are used to waiting until the last minute to sign up for some of our events but this low count less then three weeks out has me a little worried. Final counts are due to the caterer next Friday, December 23rd due to the holiday. We decided to hire a full band this year to make it a better event and because we were listening to your feedback from last year’s event on what you wanted to see improved/changed. That is also why we changed the times this year because several of you responded that you would prefer to have the event earlier as you felt dinner was too late last year. By no means are we saying that the party has to end at 10:00PM, we were just trying to maximize the time with our band. For any of you late night owls, we figured we could just move the party into the Social Room and let you watch the ball drop on the TV with your neighbors. If you are planning to attend, please CLICK HERE to register so at least I can have a better idea of who is coming.

If our attendance to this event remains low, we will have no choice but to remove the New Years Eve event from next year’s event calendar. Since this is a big holiday, everything costs more on New Years including the entertainment, the caterer, etc. so that is why we need to make sure we have a decent number of people attending to make it worth the expense of hosting it. I checked with a few other Lifestyle Directors I know who work at other properties and a few have decided to quit hosting New Years Eve parties because they also experienced the same problems of competing with other local events as well as residents who chose to host their own house parties onsite. I am happy to keep planning New Years parties for many years to come but the expense has to be justified by the participation. I hope you chose to join us this year! We need our residents to support this event and promise to make it a FUN night for all whom attend.
