Community Updates & Reminders – 9/25/20

Landscaping Updates

The pruning team will be moving to the front entrance/guard house and continuing on Marbella Lane the week of 9/28/20. 

Pruning Notes: 

  • Removing volunteer Vinca in Penta annual beds at clubhouse and guardhouse
  • Cleaning trunks on Green Buttonwoods and holly trees at condos
  • Removing declining Vinca in front of condo buildings
  • Reducing the Firebush by 20%
  • Reducing the Hibiscus by 25%

Maintenance and Landscaping Requests 

All requests for maintenance or landscaping should be submitted through the Marbella Lakes website at www.marbellalakeshoa.com to ensure your request is handled promptly.   Emergency Irrigation Hotline phone number: 239-643-4471.

Mulch Application – The mulch application for the community is scheduled for the 1st week in November.   More details to follow closer to the date.

Palm Tree Trimming – Palm tree trimming for the community is scheduled the 3rd & 4th week of October by Roots Up Tree Service.

Power washing of the community will begin in November.  More details to follow closer to the date.

 

Electronic Voting Committee:

Hello HOA and COA home owners.  We are in search for 2 volunteers from each the COA and HOA to assist Bob Eisenhart and Kym Bill to determine the appropriateness of Electronic Voting (EV) for Marbella Lakes Community.

We will be in search of an appropriate 3rd party Company that can provide EV:

  • We will need a minimum of 3 vendors that have an established EV presence in Communities such as Marbella Lakes.
  • Pricing to meet the Marbella Lakes HOA/COA community of 208 COA doors and 282 HOA doors.
  • Obtain references from each vendor.
  • Provide a Cost analysis of current mailing vs EV voting.
  • Determine various offering/options and submit to the Boards for approval.
  • Due date, prior to November Board Meeting.

Please submit your interest ASAP to Kym Bill via email to by September 28th so that we can move this project forward.  A great opportunity to bring new Technology to Marbella Lakes.

 

MARBELLA LAKES CLUBHOUSE AMENITIES –COVID 19 – RESIDENTS ONLY 

Clubhouse House Hours – 7 am – 10 pm 

Fitness Center Hours 5 am – 10 pm 

Face Masks indoors for Fitness Center, Pickleball, and Basketball will be Strongly Recommended.  Sanitizing of all areas-including equipment, before and after usage will be required by the users.  There are disinfectant/sanitizing wipes in the dispensers in the fitness center for your use to disinfect and sanitize the equipment after each use.  Thank you for doing your part.   

Pool Hours – Sunrise to Sunset  

Entry into the Pool Area will remain only through the EAST and WEST gates. No entry will be allowed through the building which will control the amount of traffic. 

Please use every other chair unless you are with family for social distancing.   

Children’s playground – Open  

Pickleball –  Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 

9:00 am – 10:30 am – Beginner/Intermediate 

10:30 am – 12:00 pm – Advanced/Intermediate 

Indoor basketball court will be reserved for Pickleball over the summer months. 

Tennis Court Hours – 7:00 am – 10:00 pm 

Playing doubles may resume, night lights are available.   

USAGE OF THE ALL AMENITIES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK 

In all areas – SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED when applicable. 

 

Bobcat Sightings:

We have received some more reports of a couple bob cat sightings in the area, specifically by Marbella Lane and the condo preserve wall.  Please be aware, specifically when walking your pets at night.

 

Weekly Reminders 

Speed Limit – This is your weekly REMINDER, the posted SPEED LIMIT for our community is 20 MPH. Please respect our community and drive carefully.  Also, please remind guests and visitors to be mindful of the posted speed limits.  This applies to bicycle riders too, who must obey all traffic laws.
