Community Updates & Reminders – 10/9/20

Landscaping Updates:

The pruning team will be continuing at the Guard House & Front entrance and will move to the West section of Marbella Lane the week of 10/12/20

General Notes:

Watering Times will be reduced to 2xs per week going forward. As we get into fall/winter the soil retains more moisture with cooling temperatures.

Maintenance and Landscaping Requests

All requests for maintenance or landscaping should be submitted through the Marbella Lakes website at www.marbellalakeshoa.com to ensure your request is handled promptly.   Emergency Irrigation Hotline phone number: 239-643-4471.

Mulch Application – The mulch application for the community is scheduled for the 1st week in November.   More details to follow closer to the date.

Palm Tree Trimming – Palm tree trimming for the community has been scheduled for the 1st week in November by Roots Up Tree Service.

Speed Bumps/Signs:

At the last Board Meeting held on October 7th, the Board of Directors reviewed the recommendations from the Traffic Enforcement Committee.  Motion was made to remove the speed bumps on Marbella Drive, remove and replace no parking signs that have incorrect towing information.  Approval was made to establish a new crosswalk on Marbella Drive, purchase eight (8) new stop signs, nine (9) 3-way stop placards, 7 speed signs with all necessary posts and install them as recommended by the Traffic Enforcement Committee.  We will be sharing the plan with the Lee County Sheriff’s department per our existing agreement once new signs are installed.

Enforcement Policy:

The Enforcement Policy was put on the agenda for the Board of Director’s Meeting held on 10/7/20.  This item will be tabled to the November Board Meeting due to having to adjourn the meeting early.  I have placed the draft of the Enforcement Policy on the website under forms and documents if you would like to review.

Power Washing

Power washing with Elite Pressure Washing has begun and they have finished the Condo common area sidewalks/gutters.  Pressure washing of the driveways and walkways for the condos will be scheduled in January with Crown Roofing.  More details to follow once we get closer to the date.

Elite Pressure Washing will continue to work on the remainder of the common area sidewalks/gutters throughout the community through the month of October.

They will have their work area marked out by cones—about a 600 foot stretch of sidewalk for each cleaning session—Residents walking the sidewalk, please divert to the road when you see the cone to prevent potential tripping over the hoses (the cones are almost 3 feet high—can’t miss them)

The first week in November, we will begin pressure washing the sidewalks/gutters AND driveways/walkways for the single-family homes. The Board of Directors approved the cleaning of the driveways for the single family homes at the Board of Directors meeting held on 10/7/20.

I will be sending out the street schedule for the single-family homes once we get closer to the date.
