Continuing our series of tasting wines around the world, this season we will
focus on South Africa, Australia, New Zealand in January,
Germany, Hungry and Alsace France in February
and Greece, Sicily and southern Spain with an
introduction to Sherry in March. Several new varietals will be presented as well as
some old friends with distinctive geographic expression.
We will learn about the cultural influences of these unique grape
growing regions and pair the wines with some delicious regional tastes.
Joelle joins us again with her wealth of knowledge!
She loves wine. So much so that in 2006, she quit her day job and moved across country
to study and work in the wine capital of America, Napa Valley.
She trained at the Culinary Institute of America and earned an
Advanced Certified Wine Professional designation as well as an
advanced certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust.
She has worked with some of the most prestigious wineries in Napa and Sonoma
counties and has taught countless enthusiasts fun ways to sip, savor and enjoy.
