Bystander or Hands-Only CPR is different from “traditional”
CPR because it eliminates the initiation of rescue breaths and only focuses on the delivery of compressions.
Pushing hard and fast in the center of a victim’s chest gets the oxygen-rich blood circulating throughout the body until Fire/EMS arrives and can provide Advanced Life Support.
In this course, you will learn how to administer compression-only
CPR and the use of an AED, and we will also review what to do when a person is choking.
Hands-Only or bystander CPR can double a person’s chance of survival if performed in the first few moments.
